Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teachers

Our teachers are credentialed to provide developmental services to children from birth through kindergarten. They work on skills in the areas of:

  • Self-Help
Instructional Assistant

Instructional Assistants

Our Instructional Assistants provide services to children under the direct supervision of ECSE Teachers and other service providers. They also help prepare curriculum and take care of student needs such as toileting and feeding.

Adapted PE Teacher

Adapted PE Teachers

Our Adapted PE Teachers assess children’s ability to participate in school-based play involving large muscles such as climbing a play structure and running. They modify activities to support the needs of the child. They provide direct instruction to children to help with their motor development.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)

Our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) evaluate and treat delays in speech, language, and social communication. SLPs help students express their wants, needs and thoughts as well as understand those around them.

SLPs also have training in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) such as Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Speech Generating Devices (SGD).

School Psychologist

School Psychologists and Behavior Analysts

School Psychologists

Our School Psychologists evaluate children for developmental conditions such as autism and intellectual disability. They offer training to both teachers and parents to support social-emotional growth.

Behavior Analysts

Our Behavior Analysts specialize in the science of learning, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). They provide direct services to children to teach a variety of developmental skills as well as indirect services to support parents and teachers. Behavior Analysts also help reduce behavioral difficulties.

Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapists

Our School-based Occupational Therapists work with students to help them succeed academically and socially. They provide services to children who have difficulties with everyday tasks, such as playing, cutting, or hygiene, that may affect their ability to learn and participate in school.
