Special education transportation may be included as part of your child’s IEP. If your student qualifies, our team submits a transportation request to West County Transportation (WCT) on your behalf after the Initial IEP is signed and consented to. Please note that it can take a few weeks for WCT to assign a route. WCT will contact your family directly before the first scheduled day of transportation to confirm details. If you need to request any changes to your child’s pick-up or drop-off location, please contact our Preschool Office Manager, Eugenia Chaparro-Sanchez at echaparrosanchez@srcs.k12.ca.us or (707) 890-3825 x59101.

Why Reporting Student Absences to Transportation Matters

To help keep bus routes safe, efficient, and on time, families must notify West County Transportation (WCT) whenever their child will be absent. When absences aren’t reported, buses may make unnecessary stops, causing delays for other students and staff. Please report your child’s absence as early as possible on the day of the absence (or ahead of time when known). Thank you for your partnership in keeping transportation running smoothly for all students.
